Here's a Philco cabinet converted to a bar, for sale a bit south of me.

Does anyone recognize what radio it came from originally? That cabinet is completely unknown to me. British maybe?

Ad states the cabinet is WHD 19.6 x 34.25 x 16.25 inches.

To me it looks like a repurposed medical device cabinet with a new Philco decal added.

Looks like it was once a X-ray machine from the late 1930s or early 40s. The control panel, with it's meters, switches, and knobs, was above with the power supply, with it's large transmitter like tubes, located just behind it. Below was storage.

X-ray machine cabinet.

Putting a Philco decal on it is such a strange thing to do. Having trouble wrapping my brain around that one.

THanks for the input everyone!

The decal on the back reads "PHILCO Transitone", which are portable sets, aren't they? That would indicate they added the Philco decals when they refinished the cabinet.
