A while back I decided to build a SE 6V6 amp. I patterned it almost exactly as one I found on line "Lacewood amp" (version 2)

Here's my 33page thread about that build:

Today I just wanted to update all of you amp lovers and report that after 10 months of careful listening and daily use, this fantastic and powerful little SE6V6 amp has really proven itself to provide wonderful continued HIFI listening pleasure.

It's physically small and simple to assemble in a small wooden box, as I chose.
Certainly metal is fine too.

It's just so easy and provides such powerful HIFI audio quality rewards.
Here's my final build box and schematic:

Hi all. If you are into a single ended amp like this there is another tube you may like to work with and they are reasonable. I just put together a prototype push pull version 2 tubes. The 6AL11 or its family of 10AL11 and 12AL11 as well as 6T10 and 6AD10 and its filament cousins. The power output section is like a 6AQ5 and the other half a pentode can be used either triode or pentode mode depending on the gain you require.
