My question is... what is the value after all these years... it was $400. when she purchased it in 1964. I want yo put it online for sale....at the right asking price. Can so.eone help me here please?

One way to determine "value" is to list it on ebay at a starting price of $.99 and let the market decide. In this case, this might be the only way. You can sometimes get an approximate idea of worth by searching for similar items that have sold on ebay.

Here is a picture of an RT-360 shown with its accessory reel motors. Do you have these? If so, the deck can play and record using the larger reel. The recorder, with these accessories, has an unusual feature that can make duplicate tapes.

I would also put a decent reserve price on it, to protect yourself from someone getting it at a 'giving it away' for almost nothing bid, if it is a desirable one. If no one hits the reserve, then re-list it using the results of that auction as a basis for setting up the re-list. You can also put in a 'Best Offer' option at that point. Make sure you charge enough for shipping it too.

I would offer it here on ARF classifieds, Reverb.com, one of the tape recorder help site's classifieds and/or craigslist before listing on ebay...
The shipping fees ebay charges for shipping things oversize and heavy like this will bankrupt you, not to mention buyer can complain about one missed description and you have to pay for everything including buyer's shipping cost, not worth the hassle IMHO and experience.

Looks like he's already sold it on Offer-Up for $75 as Greg pointed out.

The funny thing for me is that I usually buy something with the intention of flipping it, but I almost always fall in love with it after working on it. I guess my collection has not yet grown to the tipping point.
