I need to get a 6 inch speaker out of an old Motorola car radio re coned. I was using Jackson Speaker Repair, but I just tried to call them and the phone has been disconnected which leads me to believe they are no longer in business. I want to find another good re coning service. Does anyone have a recommendation? Thanks, Harry

Maybe he can do it. I haven't try him yet.

Have you tried reverb.com, there is a few who sell cones and parts, maybe they do repairs on the side.

Did you look at the Tubes And Parts forum? At the very top are many links for various items. Scroll down a little and there is a section of several people who do speaker cones.

Harry,

Is the speaker one that has a 6 volt field coil?

I may have a new Utah or Quam if the re-cone fails.

Chas

Chas, Thank you for the offer, but Ron McGee at Jackson Speaker Repair contacted me with a new phone number for his shop so it looks like I'm back in business. If anyone should need the new number, it is 517-740-0092. Thanks for everyone's help. Harry
