Hello Folks!

I have a HH Scott 330-D tuner on my bench I am aligning with a B&K 415 sweep generator and Tektronix TAS 415 O-Scope. Got it all hooked up according to the B&K 415 manual. Everything went right until the ratio detector stage. (all tubes are NOS and checked) The problem I'm having is getting the S-Curve right.

The signal on the S-Curve is being registered coming out to be in the 50mV range on my scope. Could it be my detector 1N295 diodes?? I need some guys with some serious experience here. Also did the VTVM alignment before this according to the SAMS. :? :?

Respectfully,
Cliff

To get a nice waveform on the scope... I do decrease the attenuator's signal. after I've adjusted my cans I had to increase the signal from the B&K 415.... to get a nice S-curve from my ratio detector. AM I DOING THIS RIGHT??? My B&K is in good working order.

My "victim" is a HH Scott 330-D.

Have you replaced the electrolytic cap in the detector circuit?

Yes, I sure did. 22MFD@150WVDC. I did that right away even before I attempted to align the set.

Thanks Alan.

I figured it out.... I increased the signal input from the B&K and got a fine S-curve signal and aligned it correctly. Now, on to the 335 Multiplex adaptor's recapping and alignment.

Sorry for the troubles.

Just had to crack some very dusty books and read old files.

Thanks Alan!
