Hi guys. Read up. Thanks for the theory. Been riding on that 2A slowblow since this post and no trouble! I do agree the 2A fast blow was marginal and only was lucky with the first one. Sad I wasted all the fuses before I realized nothing else was amiss and you guys backed it up.

I still think maybe I should up it to 3A slowblow but for now I’m going to ride this fuse out..

As an aside- anyone know where I can find affordable 6x30mm INLINE glass cartridge holders? I prefer them as I don’t gave to concern myself with the fuse holder mounting or drill holes in chassis.

Inline fuse holders are usually for automotive work and are rated at 32 volts since they are not shock safe. This is also why they have heavy wires; to get a reasonable amount of power at 12 volts requires a fair amount of current.

The 1/4" X 1 1/4" fuses are commonly called 3AG.

Sal's Capacitor Corner, an ARF member and advertiser, sells them. Sal's a great guy to deal with. He also owns some beautiful cars. . .
