I've worked on several of those Naks with the same issue- the idler tire wears out, gets a flat spot, the rubber hardens, some nitwit takes the wheel off and loses the clip or spacer. The BX series is like that as well as the RX. I had the top of the line RX-505 I got in a trade. It cost me $300+shipping 2 ways to have it refurbed. It was a wonderful deck that sounded excellent. I was afraid to use it because a sensor would accumulate tape dust and stop working (I think it was the auto-reverse that would quit). I've done it on several BX-300 units.
