I am on a hunt for information mostly. I recently acquired this console and for the most part everything seems in working order. I've had to do some work on the phonograph, but that is a topic for another discussion.

My console is about 5 feet long and has an am/fm stereo, 8 track player, and phonograph. The model number on the back sticker says F942M and the Chassis number 15WFR51. There is another number on this sticker 101-8823-80. There is another number but it is too faded to read.

Can anyone tell me from this information what year this unit was made? If any manuals are available a link would be great.

Service info is in Sams Photofact folder 1492-4, 1975. I don't have many past 1963, but somebody here may have a copy.

As Tom has mentioned...
Photofact (pretty pictures) service manual Set-1492 Folder-4

The entire Photofact Set-1492 can be found on eBay for the reasonable price of seven bucks, shipped.
Check that Folder-4 is included before you pull the trigger.

Not to hijack the thread ... but what was the Allegro moniker for? ... advertising hyperbole ? Mine looked no different as far as speaker set up than any other console I owned...
