Good Morning Everyone. We just sold my grandfathers house and I came across his old record player. Does anyone have any info on what it may be worth? It still powers up, the turn table spins and I did here sound out of the speakers but haven’t tried a record or cassette in it yet. I’m not sure if I want to sell it for him or have it restored. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

It is from 1971 give or take a year, I remember them in the stores and they sold for about $300.00.

That speaker shown is not what came with it.

"what's it worth" is best answered by ... it's worth what someone will pay for it. In this case, I'm guessing sadly not too much. It may be worth more to you as a keepsake than anyone might be willing to shell out for it.

Thank you all for the feedback. It does have quite a bit of sentimental value for me so I think I will refinish the wood and restore it. Again, I appreciate everyone’s responses.

Contact Gary at thevoiceofmusic.com for a new needle and cart for the record player. Dont keep using the current needle and cart with the penny for weight. It will ruin records.

you can glue the silver ring back in place with rubber cement. The changer is on borrowed time if it's working, and it will need old grease cleaned out and relubricating. It will eventually stall because the old grease turns to goo.
