Someone sent me a url to a lengthy audio clip by the late Jean Shepherd, who was a late night talk host on WOR back in the 60s, and he was talking about an amp he had built as a teenager using a 57, a 56, and a 2A5. Not sure where he got the plans, it may have been Shortwave Craft. Likely it was in the late 30s or early 40s. If anyone knows what schematic he used, could you please send me the info? I'd like to try and build a vintage amp similar to it.

I would like to know too, I'm a big Shep fan.

I remember he said it has a pilot light too.

Could you post the link to the clip? I'd like to hear it. Thanks!

I was debating whether to post this over in the vintage radio programs area and just post a quick note here on where I put it, but figured it would be a bit out of context. Sorry it took so long to get back on this but I finally got the link again- Tune in right here ftp://ftp.salemradiolabs.com/pub/srlabs/shep/ and select the link at the bottom of the list titled "The snooper." It's fun listening, though it takes a long time to download. It's almost 50 minutes of audio.
