A while ago, I picked up ($20) a pair of Coral speakers made by Fukuyo Sound Co., type 12TX-50, 25W, 16 ohms. Are these considered "vintage" speakers? I know this may be subjective but are they considered "good" speakers? If half-decent, I might power them someday with a 6BG6-driven ultralinear amp I'm thinking of building.

I remember Coral speakers in 1969-1970 in Vietnam. Some guy brought a pair back from R&R. They were heavy as heck because the wood was hallow and sand filled. They sounded outstanding connected to his reel to reel Teac. Of course anything sounded good compared to INCOMING!

These are heavy too and are 3-ways. I have just the speakers so ultimately I would have to build enclosures...another area for learning.
