Hello Guys
Well I need a Vibrator for a Bendix car radio from a 1956 ford that have been
working on.
It uses a vibrator which is a Bendix part no. C-221139-1 or a Mallory part no. G883 .

My question is the customer brought over a used Delco part no. 249705-2 .
will that Delco sub for the Bendix .

Sincerely Rich

Hi Rich

the 6BF uses a 3 pin 12 v neg ground vibrator. All the other 56 uses a 4 pin 12 volt neg ground vibrator. Kind of an odd duck.

I have a Solid State 4 pin 12 volt neg ground ones which are not made anymore

As far as I know, all three pin vibrators are twelve volts and are wired the same internally. Reed is center pin and the other two are P1 and P2. It makes no difference if P1 and P2 are reversed as the vibrator cares nothing about polarity. Denis

I believe you meant Mallory G883? The 1957 Mallory catalog shows both G883 and G1602 as replacements for your radio.

The ā€œGā€ prefix for Mallory part numbers means 12 volt. Three pin vibrators are 12 volt. Denis
