Can one of you tube guru's help me out with some information on a Silvertone 55x tube? Shape and size is similar to a 20's type 99.

Is it this ? http://www.nj7p.org/Tubes/SQL/Tube_query.php?Type=55 You can tell by looking inside. Should see the two diode sections and single triode section like in a 12SQ7.

No, as I wrote, the shape and size is similar to a Type 99 from the 1920's. Looks like the photo in this link...
