I know AES has tubes but I did not see anything about shipping cost.
I need 3 6BA6 tubes and I always buy on EBAY because most of the time they are cheaper.
Years ago I had boxes of used tubes and almost never had to buy a tube but they were all sold when I had to close my attic shop.
Anyone know where I can buy new OR used tubes without paying high shipping charges?

If you don't need them immediately you could wait until the next ham fest or radio swap meet. I always take a list of what I need and the prices are generally lower than online.

Or ESRC...
I normally favor Bob Dobush, but he can be a bit slow.

I do not like the way the web site is set up, when I do a search for 6BA6 every other tube come up but what I want.
I emailed Bob Dobush today but being Sunday I would not expect an answer.

I saw him at the AWA Convention in Rochester yesterday - may take him a while to get back to normal.

Thanks for the info. I think you just saved me half of what I was going to pay.

Morning Guys!!

Here are two other sources that I use a LOT. Radio Electric Supply in FL, www.vacuumtube.net and Daily Electronics, www.dailyelectronics.net. Both of these people have LOTS of stuff on the shelf, know their inventory well and actually answer the phone. Their prices are good and the stuff that I get from them is great.

Two more people that I deal with, when it comes to other tubes, like ham and audio are Bob Bieker, N9TEW, www.hamtubes.com, and Mike Marx, WB0SND, SND tubes sales, www.vacuumtubes.com. They have both been around for 30 plus years, are very knowledgeable and good people to deal with. Here are the locations for the vendors mentioned above. Radio Electric supply is in FL. Daily, is in WA, Mike Marx is in MO, and Bob Bieker is in IN.

I deal with all four of these people all the time. I can vouch for their business performance. Both Bob and Mike do a number of radio shows and will answer any questions you have about amateur radio tubes and the relate gear.
