Thanks for posting that Bill. Now I don't think I'm as stupid as I thought I was.

I love how in Part 2 the building is just resting on stacks of loose cinder blocks. These guys are Darwin Award material.

This is not a mobile home being moved. It's a mini house ..... totally different creature. It requires "house moving" equipment, not just a tilt-n-load.

When the mover saw it his inner Nancy Reagan should have kicked in ..... and he should have "just said no".

This is not a mobile home, it's a portable building. I guarantee you that there was no engineer involved in this mess. A portable building that long should have been built in two sections like a modular home and moved and set in place THEN CONNECTED. I've designed modular homes up to 2200 sq. ft. that were built in a factory, shipped to the site and then moved to the foundation by crane without any damage whatsoever. But then I used an engineer to help me figure out how to do it.

If I was the owner when that first piece of siding buckled I would have rejected the whole thing right there. All the joints that are nailed have loosened sheetrock on the inside has cracked plumbing lines may have split maybe even electrical lines pulled loose. It's a disaster. Hope the owners have a good attorney because the builder is going to have to fix this.

But you can make them fix their mistakes or at least pay for them.

The information under the video states that this was a first time build for the owner (guy) who was present during delivery. The inside and roof contained materials for the second storey adding to the weight.

Ordinary people should be banned from purchasing battery drills and construction materials.
When you're dead, you don't know that you are dead - - - same thing when you're stupid!

The haulers have hosted this video as they are proud of their delivery achievement.

Greg.
yes, I watched it all Bill. lol

A mobile home would have been on a trailer with wheels and a full on frame. I grew up in a part of the country where these were common and would see them on the freeways all the time, hence they were structurally sound and rigid enough to be hauled. This thing? Its garbage but even so, why did the movers keep on moving it when it was clear it was damaging it/

Hello Bob,
I agree the problem is I see these new places being built and are meeting no safety or building standards .

Sincerely Richard

The owner is most likely out of luck. Bozos like this are unlikely to have enough insurance or resources to pay for the damage.

Because the owner (Mountain Dew guy) who built it was there, and there was nowhere to send it back to. Obviously he told them to get it in place no matter what.
After all... he's a Fixer who built it in the first place. lol

Maybe take the two tons of Plywood? Off the roof first?
Or build it where you actually want it.
