Looks like RadioMuseum.org has undergone a change to the website.
The schematic / picture viewing option has changed. Has a side scroll feature.

I'm not thrilled about the lack of the complete miniature schematic. The slide scroll is OK. To be honest I don't see any particular advantage to the changes. It's different, but I am not always convinced that different is better. I am not a member, so my opinion plus a buck might get you a cup of coffee.

Curtis… in your browser's Toolbar, go…
View - Page Style - No Style
all of the images will load without any of that slideshow nonsense.

Example: Four schematic pages + ten photos.

No doubt the redesign is to cater for mobile devices.

Thanks. Unfortunately there is still no miniature version of the whole schematic. I sometimes judged whether to bother downloading a schematic based on that old little picture of the whole schematic rather than a bunch of large views of pieces of the schematic. Still I am not a member there so I am just thankful the site exists for those schematics I can't find elsewhere.

Yes, I see what you mean.
It only gives you a zoomed-in view of the schematic page, not the entire page view.

Maybe Ernst can reinstate the schematic thumbnails… as you say, it is now difficult to decide if the page is worth downloading when you cannot see the whole thing.
but… in my experience it is easier to become a Freemason than to communicate with anyone there. I am not a member either. lol

I agree with Eickerman 100%. Really should be able to see at at glance all that is available in order to download just what you need. Seems the site would be bogged down by unnecessary downloads.

It wasn't broken, so I wonder why they're attempting to change it?

The new layout is not very usable. I'd say it's a massive step backward. All the things you used to see at a glance are missing. You can't see how many photos or schematics pages there are, and you don't necessarily know when you've cycled through all of them. You can't copy a tube lineup. The side-to-side smooth scrolling effect is slow, unnecessary, and makes it impossible to do A vs B photo comparisons by clicking back and forth between 2 photos. It has all the lousy UI drawbacks and performance degradation of a modern website, with no up-side or improvements.

Oddly, if you're logged in, you still see the old page layouts. Mid-transition, I'm guessing.

I was wondering if there would be a thread on this. I visited Radiomuseum.org a few days ago and was not impressed with the update. The layout for the radio information is too complex.

Getting better! The thumbnail schematic is no longer a partial image, but the full image.

Apparently a work in progress.
