115 and 230 Zulu , NATO - zero meridian abbreviation Z , same as UTC , GMT
Sometimes I use both, but use z because it's easier ?

9:15pm and 10:30pm eastern

I recently started to (try to remember) add the zeros to the 3 digit times because I got e mails saying it needed the zeros to be proper
I don't know if that's right of not, except for 0000 , it just messes with some people's (my)dyslexia.

Almost all my logs will be 2200 -0200 UTC 6pm To 10pm EDT Some of them might adjust for seasonal sunset or current propagation predictions.

The zero added to times below 10hrs UTC seems to be correct

Good question anyway. I will try to follow the official to prevent confusion? 8)

That was "Skippy Radio"

6925 USB 157 UTC 13 May 2010
Skippy Radio
0157 good copy of Skippy Radio
0203 song with strong influence of Mexico , traditional accordion based fills but then with some modern elements such as rap in Spanish.
0208 song with strong death metal influence yet there's a fast paced blues harmonica
0210 SSTV/ off

There was some Guns and Roses and Harry Belafonte, but Shazam was not hitting on the mixed genre at the end. You never know.
They have sent out SSTV of pigs and cows before.

SR was on earlier as well playing bluegrass covers of old standards , "I'll Fly Away" etc.
I copied this SSTV on that transmission and was the only Id

Picked up a station i have never heard before it was WMT AM 600 in cedar rapids Iowa it was weak but clear but faded off into nothing in about 3 minutes picking up a 5,000 watt station this far east is not to shabby in my book.

Hearing WJCC 1700 khz 1k in Florida pretty well tonight , sounds to be in French - audio matches Radio Mega website.
Heard hits of music audio presumably from WRCR, back on the air since April . A few nights ago good copy in the car playing 1970s rock with a solid signal, but not tonight

Dave ole buddy ole pal WTNI is a challenge to pick up most nights here you need a good sensitive radio a really good antenna and above average weather conditions. To pick it up at night it is a 1,000 watt station at night good luck.

Here is the station on 1710. The only station licensed on this frequency is a TIS in New Jersey and they wouldn't be playing music. Lasted on a few mins , there are pirates occasionally on this freq but it's not that common..
The song is by Survivor/ is this love

I tried to research the 1710 khz station. I believe it to be "Tater Patch Radio" according to the limited info web presence , states it's at 1700khz and apparently 1710khz located in Southside Va. There is mention of it being associated with WPEX fm although the formats are completely different. This station is not licensed at 1700 and of course there are no commercial stations on 1710.
Tater Patch has been reported as far away as Michigan in one youtube video along with other reports center in the mideast.
There is no e mail although they seem to have twitter and a chat area for contact and Facebook ( gasp) .
