Some fascinating reading on state of the art electrical techniques and practices in the first decade of the 20th century. The most surprising take away for me is the level of knowledge of all the ins and out of electricity in those early days. They had already mastered nearly all of the theory and mathematics, and had developed ingenious equipment and solutions. Pretty smart dudes!

What followed over the next century was basically refinements of methods and materials, notably the ignitron then thyristors. Hmm, sounds a little like radio :lol:

Looks like he had a couple books, note that he's writing in England, but much of the equipment he describes is by Westinghouse or Thomsen Houston.
