Too slow - maybe somebody played the 78 at 45 to transfer it and forgot to pick up the pitch and tempo afterward - but here it is direct from 1926

I could write up a playlist of the 30 most persistent and annoying jingles in my brain, but it would only make things worse, and I don't think that I could take it, cuz it took so long to bake it, and I'll never have that recipe again, oh no ..... :x

Up here it's known as an "Earworm."
Popular remedy is to sing "God Save The Queen" a couple of times.
Presto! The earworm is gone - and for some reason God Save the Queen doesn't stick!

Here is an interesting documentary. It would be even more watchable if the producer had obtained more than 40 seconds of each piece of music in it...

:x I knew it could spread, but not that easy, holy smokes.
Burn it out with a few bars of 'Smoke on the Water".
Or I sometimes use "It's Gettin Bettah All the Time", a happy tune.

I got stuck with "Pass the Dutchie" by Musical Youth, but the middle more melodic pieces rather than the line that actually said "pass the dutchie from the left hand side" but I finally heard it on the radio so now it's gone.....

I wonder what a dutchie is.....?

I was tortured by the primary school kids next door practising Sheryl Crow's "All I wanna do is have some fun" for days until the school concert was over - thank goodness! Good choice though.

John Byner had a comedy show on Canadian TV, did goofy imitations of celebrities.
He did an impersonation of Boy George "Do you really want to hurt me? Do you really want to make me cry? Do you ...?"
Suddenly, a grand piano in a sling comes crashing thru the roof and flattens him. (Studio audience laughter, end of skit).

I guess that's why I prefer instrumentals. But now that I am 90% down on hearing, can't really enjoy that or many tunes with lyrics. I went to a little bar concert and although they had a keyboardist, I don't know if their mixer setup just had him notched down too low or what, but I really couldn't hear much from him. I was on the front row, by request because of my hearing, and the rest of the band (3 piece plus the visiting keys man) was listenable. Not optimal, but enjoyable.

I don't remember really ever having earworm issues. Brain was always running wild on multiple things anyway, so perhaps that's why a song never stuck. Got dismissed for the next song, or whatever captured my attention next.

The music I keep hearing in my head is themes from the Little Rascals show. I have been watching Buzz1151's videos on You Tube so that must be why as he runs them in the background on the videos.
