I picked up a Hallicrafters Super Skyrider SX17 today for 25 bucks. Came with headphones, too.

Very happy. Now I have an almost complete set of Predictas - I am picking up a Holiday tomorrow. Just need a Danish! I'm intrigued what model the chairside is? (Sorry everything is rotated, they aren't on my PC :-( )

It is a 38-7CS

I found this AK Deco beauty a month ago and today she is all restored with a new driver and a new cone airbrushed just like the original. Next is the chassis.. I bought some knobs off eBay for just ONE! and it is broken,

Last is a lot of tubes I am sorting now. ALMOST done!

At the Columbus COARA meet, I went a little nuts...

Zenith 805, Weston 779, Hickok 209, Eico 315, Jackson 648.
Not pictured, an RCA Radiola 62 chassis-speaker, Box of pots and switches, Mallory UHF converter, a flat tire and two lost matched pair 6L6G tubes. Busted on the pavement.

Nice picks, everyone!

From the estate sale being discussed in the auctions forum, a little Garod portable radio and a 1-tube SW converter labeled "National Distributing Company, Seattle Washington." The Garod is cracked on one corner, but not obtrusively. There's a label on the bottom of the SW converter that says "Synchro model 34-A" and is dated 1934.

Not pictured, a 12uF Mershon cap to restuff.

Dont worry steve,
I busted a WE 211A a few months ago. I cried too, lol..

Nice 805 too... I probably have the knob but I bet you have a few already since they are Zenith.

Great little Garod there too.

Tomorrow is our local swap meet so I may bring home a goodie or two.

:)

I don't think I have that particular knob. I will look but I don't recall seeing one.

Thanks Kirk
Yeah, I would cry over a WE 211 too.

Here are my finds from the Seattle estate sale as well.

An Airline movie dial tabletop:

A Majestic model 55:

A Philco 91X:

And a Grunow model 1101 Selectrol! :

The Grunow needs some work, especially around the legs. Most of the fancy scrollwork veneer is damaged or missing, and the lid for the control box came unglued at some point, but is complete. BUT...it has all 4 45 tubes in place! Definitely my favorite now.

Steve, glad I could find a good home for the Zenith 805.

Love the movie dial!
That was quite a grouping of radios not often seen.

Thanks for selling it to me, It was a pleasure to meet you :D
I will try to address the bubbly veneer on the side, but it doesn't bother me too much.

Now I am jealous...
I have the control box but have never been able to find the base cabinet... That is a very nice find indeed...

As for me I have 3 losses:
Zenith Tans O
RCA portable
Realistic Astronaut 8

:)

Picked up a lot of 4 transistors. Royal Tone 2 transistor. Model unknown. Any info would be appreciated. My first Mitsubishi, model 6X-720. Golden Shield model 7188. Rhapsody model RY657. Didn't really want it, but he threw it in with the other three. Upside is the box and warranty card.

Gee, that looks just like the dome light and headliner from my mom's 1964 Dodge Dart, but hers was light green.
