I also picked up this WLW button. It looks like you had to be seen wearing it to win.

Scrubbing that tube caddy with a little water, a brush, and Boraxo will clean it right up, just don't get it too wet.

Bubble top Ristaucrat..
These seem to be popping up around here...
Chops out of the corners of the bubble but not on the actual bubble. No back but I have a parts unit. In the end I will have one super nice one and one that needs some work.

:)

Well, spontaneous and reckless this is....

I took a peek at CL after not looking for weeks and these two pop up.
Using my lunch break (yeah I took it early) I went to see the Philco 111 highboy with doors as its the one I wanted, but they made me a deal on both, so the Philco 95 went with me too. bad boy....

Pardon the awful images. They were snagged off of CL.

A few last little things from the estate of a fellow PSARA member...

I particularly like the orange Emerson, the Sky Chief radio-phono, and the little art deco Ingraham clock. Unfortunately, clock does not work.

This makes three Sky Chief radios I got from this sale. There are only two pictured in RadioMuseum.

On top of the Sky Chief is a cigarette lighter-radio. In front of it is a Stromberg-Carlson head unit; I suspect it's from a model 55. And the little red box is a Jewel battery radio.

I really like the deco Ingraham clock too and I bet it can be made to work again.
What is the beat up box on the front left side opposite the orange Emerson?
Thanks for sharing,
Henry

I think that box is the head unit from a Stromberg-Carlson model 55.
https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/stromberg_55.html

I saw no sign of any of the rest of the radio. But somebody out there must need this piece, so I grabbed it. Would hate for it to be tossed.

The little red box is a Jewel radio like a 304 or a 905. (I haven't checked the model number.)

Hmmm,
Those Model 55 control units are popping up... 3 in the last few weeks were posted in the finds here. I found jus the head, Judge? found the whole system and now you have the control box too.. Cool...

I went to a Garage sale this morning and was the first one there. There were road closures but I shmoozed the worker to let me go by.
I picked up these 4 really nice original and fully functioning kitchen wall clocks. I also found this early radio piece in a toolbox there. No others to be found :(

Then I went to an antique store I visit when I am in that area. She had some radios but nothing I want to make room for. I did find a nice electric Seth Thomas mantle clock to fix while on the night shift.

Lastly I bought new mats, grabber bars, bikini top, decals, fresh undercoat, tire cover, plugs, filters, and some misc for the baby on her birthday. I bought her off the lot in 1994 and she is still running strong.

Well, I got the two Philcos home today. They are both covered in some sticky substance which does wash off with water.
Not sure what it is....

Anyhow, there are four good 45s between the two and this was one of them! :D

Found a 1949 Canadian Admiral TV 25 Hz set with a 12Lp4 picture tube that tests ok.

Two finds for me today at an estate sale. First is a Chicago independent labeled Continental with wrong knobs. Love the hidden antenna on the bottom. Second is my first farm radio, a Sparton. Unfortunately the sticker is missing. its one 4 possible models, 527,528,587 or 588. Came with a Perma Power model E battery eliminator for 2 volt radio.

Cripes Jim...
Those pics are bigger than granny's underpants...

Find...
Tiffany-Tone Model 83C console radio.
She said it was playing beautifully but I did not test it.
When I got it home I took it apart and it has new ecap's so I gave her a go and she does work exceedingly well.

The dial is going out to RadioDaze and besides one molding piece and some lifting of the veneer in spots, it is pretty clean.

:)
