Sorry, I thought for sure I deleted those pictures and the entire post. I guessed wrong. I'm still trying to figure out editing pictures since Photobucket has decided to start using larger images.

I've tried several editors and I guess I'm brain dead. I cant figure out how to decrease the picture size so I just give up, no more pictures.

Kirk-love the dial on that Tiffany-Tone!

Today I found just what I needed-more junk!

A Plymouth 8-tube console from the Chicago Clago radio mill (Plant C).

A no-name 6-tube from Chicago Plant B with a very similar dial.

A Bristol Audiophone Super-S speaker.

And--what was I thinking????-an Italian accordion! A Settimio Soprani in nice shape--I don't know how to play it, but it was dirt cheap! A great tool to lose friends and irritate neighbors!

Jim, two of the easiest options are to drag your pics into Paint if you are on Windows, just click Resize and Pixels and change to 600 in the top box and 800 in the bottom and save the pic. Or you can change the resolution on your camera to a low resolution, 800x600 or something like that and no further changes are necessary.

Kirk, thanks for posting those pics of the Tiffany Tone. I have never seen anything like that before. They put the tuning part BELOW the chassis? Gee! And it's not crowded at all in there. It almost looks homemade or like a kit.

She said it was playing beautifully but I did not test it.
When I got it home I took it apart and it has new ecap's so I gave her a go and she does work exceedingly well.

Nice Tiffany Tone, Kirk!

I like the Plymouth also, Dan!

Dan,
Those 2 look so similar! It's like a console and table top of the same radio... Very cool

Thanks Steve,
I am scared of the dial as it is pretty bad but I am oping that RadioDaze can work it's magic.

Zenith 835 with a nice original finish. The chassis looks good too, I should have some tube shields for it. Wasn't cheap.

I just picked up this Zenith 6D029 Consoltone for $5.00! The finish is shot, but it's complete and the back is good. Now to clean it up a bit! Got it off of FB Marketplace about 20 minutes after it was posted. Guy said his phone was blowing up!

Picked up an Atwater Kent 559 just 5 minutes down the road. The cabinet looks good, has a small piece of the grill missing... the chassis heavy as it should be and has the cover plate on the bottom so I believe it's been left alone.

The problem is the speaker cone is busted. Any idea how much it costs to re-cone a speaker? Cheaper to just find a replacement? Oh well, will figure it out later.

I think I figured out the resizing so here goes. First is the Continental with the hidden antenna. Then next is the Sparton with battery eliminator.

Guess they still need work.

Also picked up a TV-2/U tester. Was strange, a random person reached out to me on ebay to sell it to me. Was a decent price so I couldn't say no. (whoever it was, thanks, will take good care of it) Looks very original from what I've seen so far - never seen a TV-2 before. Gotta say, these things are HEAVY. And they have two 83 tubes and three other tubes... so five tubes to test a tube. Anyone with experience on getting these fixed up and calibrated that wants to offer some advice before I dive in?

Also seems to be missing the roll chart piece. Will have to keep an eye out for one of those now to complete it in the future.

Just realized the TV-2/U has a spare 83 and spare 6X4 tubes, so it's only using three tubes, not all 5. Interesting they stuck spares in these things. Can't beat that military construction!!

Nice looking Majestic! I think you got space for a few more. No need to push self control at this time. :)

6 months ago I found a really nice bench at a tag sale. I bought it and put it aside to restore in the spring. I ended up selling it about 3 months later when I needed the room. This part kills me... about a week later I found an Atwater Kent 37 Modernistic radio and speaker. While googling it I found a photo of it on a stand with a bench. MY BENCH! The bench I just sold was to this set. I tried to buy it back but he was not willing to sell it back to me. Today a miracle happened. No, I did not get the bench.... BUT I did get the stand from a local antique place!!!!
I saw it in the corner under some other stuff at a friends shop. I was astatic to say the least and had to google it to make sure it was the right one. It has been painted but that will strip off and it will get a proper repaint. I wrote to the bench guy one more time so wish me luck... I also found this GE portable model JB? at a flea market. They had a beautiful GE L-915 console but I passed.. Even at $50.00 I just don't have room.

Here are some photos:
