Usually the weather around here is a mild 65-75 degrees all summer long. But for the past 2-3 days its been absolutely scorching. The thermometer in the garage was reading 102 degrees. The worst part is that nobody here has AC or double pane glass windows. So over the course of the day the houses simply heat up. I have all the window shades drawn but even with all of the fans going ( and I have a LOT of vintage fans too ) it feels like hot air being blown around. But at least I'm inside. Outside is like a furnace right now. Looks like I won't be able to work on radios in the garage today.

This too shall pass. Here in Ohio it is 66 with a pleasant breeze and sunshine. Supposed to be downright maybe chilly early tomorrow. It can stay like this for awhile till the summer must come busting in eventually. That reminds me I should open some more windows and let the cool breeze caress me. Ahhhh.....

Its pretty toaty down here in the South Bay today, too, I saw 103 while driving around earlier. Not the end of the world but moderately uncomfortable.

not here

so far, it reminds me of the summer of 2015 where it barely touched 70. extended forecast is no different.

You're not far from the land of weird weather---after a while I stop looking at forecasts and just watch the planes going into BWI. "Normal" pattern is up the Chesapeake for a straight-in to runway 33. (Heading N30degW)
This means that a fair percentage of the planes go right over our house. Don't hear any planes?---go find an umbrella.
Essentially no snow last year, and only a few days below 20F---what next??

by now, we should have already had a good many days in the high 70s to low 80s.

nope.

i have season tickets down in altoona at the pirates farm baseball team.

it is a beautiful park with a beautiful skyline in all directions.

we sat there yesterday and i watched the clouds go from south to north and then a bit east to west.

that is rare, very rare.

Yep, just 48 degrees here this morning in southern Ohio. Can't imagine what it is like up north. Snowing?

Up in the 110's here this week, and I am hand waxing my 34 foot travel trailer. But at least I can go in the air conditioned house when I need to cool off. Been in the bay area during a heat wave back in the 80's. Miserable! No one had AC, not even many of the businesses.

It had been horribly hot until about a week ago, when The rains came with a vengeance causing widespread flooding. It is now coming back to hot again and you could steam weenies by putting them out the front door on a stick.

It got to the mid 90s late last week into the weekend here in the Fargo, ND area. Not too much humidity so it was not real bad comfort wise. Temps like that are unusual around here this time of year; normally more common in July/August.

Temperature took a big swing Sunday evening and its been in the lower 50s at night and low 70s in the day so far this week.

That sudden hot spell a few days back was a "shock" as its been a pretty cool and wet spring after all the excessive snow last winter. Farmers in the upper midwest are way behind on planting due to spring floods and heavy rains this spring. Many areas still not planted

Here in North Jersey... we normally would be hot several weeks ago... but no,
We have had maybe one or two warm days and it's mid June already.. breeze very cool days and nights.
So what's up? ... Not global warming here.
