I didn't want to really get rid of these radios but I need the room and they went to a good home
A Marconi model 85 and a Majestic model 7M932.
Both these radio have the original; finish on them , and I did the usual recap and cosmetic
cleaning.
I know you don't find these radios very often, but I know I will find more radios.

Is there a good radio museum anywhere in Canada?

I think a better idea would have been to have loaded them in your vehicle and driven them down here to Charleston, SC. Enjoy the beach, a great food city, historic significance. Free room. Sell ‘em to me.

Anyway, beautiful radios.

Charleston SC is a beautiful city, but just pass it up and keep coming south. We have everything they have plus cloth option beaches.
They are beautiful and with the original finish.

Dan, those radios are beautiful. Original finish? did you do anything to help them, or where they kept gorgeous looking by the former owners?

I ask as it may help people decide whether to try to save a finish instead of rushing out with the solvents.

Thank you in advance,
John S.

The radios were kept quite well by the former owners.
I know you don't find too many that are this good, and the Marconi did have some marks
from being around that many years.
I used Go Jo on both of them and then a product like old English [but much better]
It is called ''Trade Secret'' and I get it at Home Depot.
There is a museum here in Calgary, and I have donated to it before, but a friend of mine really liked the radios
So they are in his home.
If you were to sell or get rid on everything in your living room completely , then you would soon have it full again, with new stuff.
It is the same with these radios; I will get more

Great radios, Dan.
I try to take pictures of all my radios too, so I can remember them if and when they get passed down the line.

I like consoles but like alot of others, I have limited space and pets and no plans to build a radio barn. So my ideal would be to have one real "showpiece" console that I could admire and use regularly. I assumed it would maybe be a Zenith, but that Marconi grabs me.

Radios come and go, I don't miss any through the years. Seems to be no end to consoles here on the East coast. :)
