Clicking on the above image shows a maximum size of 692px × 1000px
As you can see, it's throttling the height at 1000px thus the 692px width.

It's a neat feature Alan... :)

Changing the "thumbnail" to 800 x 800 was a good idea. There is usually no need to click to make the image larger and is the same size limit as pictures posted in prior threads.

I wouldn't call the resizing process painful as I will still do it, along with cropping, rotating, adjusting levels and tweaking the image to look its best.

Same here, but I will try out the new picture posting method soon. Thanks Alan

800 X 800 still works fine for snap shots.
This will be great for schematics, once the bugs are worked out. Thanks!
I would like text to always be shortened to fit the screen. When someone posts a larger pic, such as a large schematic, text goes off the page, annoying.

As soon as I found out about this, I tried it and it works just fine here.

Thanks, Alan. I can only imagine how fast and furiously your fingers move since you only use a Smartphone for stuff like this!

Still some bugs. It still doesn't work well with highly detailed images like large schematics. It reduces them to a maximum of 1200 by 1000, so you can't view or download to save the original uploaded size. Trying to upload a very large file (5016 by 6576) all I get is this:

There are two ways to add one or more photos to your post.

The first (preferred) is by using the "Upload attachment" feature when you compose your post. Right below the input text box, if you scroll down slightly, is the "Upload attachment" section.

Filename > click on Choose File.
Navigate to the file you want to add on your computer. Click Choose.
That file name will replace the "no file selected" next to the Choose File button.
Immediately below that is File Comment where you can add an optional comment to accompany the image.
Click Add the file. A popup window will appear (unless you have disabled them in your browser) telling you the file upload is in progress. This window will close when the upload is finished.

Your photo(s) will appear at the bottom of whatever text you post. They will be listed by file name immediately below the bottom of the post text input box. You can put them in specific places in your text by moving the cursor to where you want one to be and click the Place inline button.

The previous file dimension and file size limitations have been eliminated. The server will now take large images and create a smaller thumbnail image and display that. Clicking on the thumbnail will open the original image, in the original size, in your browser window.

Although the size restrictions have been eliminated, be aware that uploading a really large image may be sluggish as the server processes the image. Using smaller images, when possible, will alleviate this.

Thank you! The previous limits were pretty crazy for us with monitors from the 21st century.

The EXIF data is wrong. You can easily change it with an online EXIF editor. I don't have a specific one to recommend, but Google turns up a bunch of free ones.

Personally, I remove the EXIF data.

In Windows 10, and I suppose Windows 7? Not sure you can do it this way.

Right click the image file, select "properties" Then click the "Details" tab.
Next click "Remove Properties and Personal Information" at the bottom.
At this point, another window will pop-up. I usually click the "Remove the Following Properties from This File" button, then click "Select All" at the bottom, then click "OK" After that click "OK' of the other window.

Next, open the file in MS Paint, If it needs rotating, then select "Rotate" which is above "Image" in the upper left.
Select which way it needs rotating beneath that tab, then when it looks right, click "File" and "Save"
