This dog hate's anything touching her feet, we have tried boots before, she just pulls them off as soon as we put them on

Nice to see everyone's temps across the globe !

my brother had a wimmnereriner and a vizsla.. both good dogs.

my dog you cant touch my dogs feet w/o him growling now. I believe this is from when he was a puppy, the lady groomers at per smart filed down his nails to short to many times and made them bleed more then once. After that :(

he was also 'banned' from pet smart from pinning down & humping the ladies trying to give him a bath. baths only at home now

It's been extremely cold where I live with most nights below zero. Fortunately we have plenty of snow cover. Otherwise I think there would be a lot of frozen underground water lines. A few years ago we had cold weather but little snow cover, and a lot of people had buried water lines that froze and they were without water for many days...until it finally warmed up. Winter is not my favorite season.

-4 with 8 inches of snow. Shoveling is a pain but what takes the most time is prying the dogs off of the fire hydrants :D

Thunderstorms last night, two rounds of them. We even had a tornado watch. A tornado did touch down in Damascus, GA yesterday. My cats were not amused by the thunder...

We have had nearly two weeks of -25 to -40 air temps at night and daytime highs of -8 to -15. Some days were windy which made it much worse. I live in NW Minnesota about 100 miles South of the Canadian border. Tonight looks to be -20 air temp (this morning was -32). Yesterday the high was +3, today +12, so it looks like it is finally starting to break. Not a bit of snow the whole time and we have had much less snow cover than usual creating a lot of well and septic issues as snow is actually a pretty good insulator. The weekend actually is forecasted to be above freezing with night time lows above zero. No issues at my place although I'm glad I bought a new furnace a couple of years ago and I'm not looking forward to seeing my gas and electric bills for this month, but We have been very lucky. Other than a new battery for my pickup, actually 2 as the first new one froze also after a week, nothing has broke or froze and we have had no power problems like they have down South.

Here in the FL Panhandle the local temp is 38, with a projected low of 33. Tomorrow's high 64. The temps here vary quite a bit. Today's high was 48.

ahhhhh.... memories of my childhood in St. Paul. Now in Columbus, OH my only jacket is a flannel shirt until it gets below about 15 or 20 degrees, and I don't zip the winter coat up until it's around or below zero (rarely here).

Being a bit more......mature  than I was then, I do keep more extreme cold weather gear in the truck when I go out in case I have to walk somewhere or the truck breaks.

We had a power outage in Garland, that's a suburb of Dallas for those who don't know. 24 hours with out power and -0 degrees. I was ready but still its a night I wont forget. Power back on and another 2 inch's of snow last night. Picture is in front of my house with 4x4 suburban out for a little drive around neighborhood. House & radio Shop is warm and will get going on some cabinet work and refinishing today. I grew up in Milwaukee so I am not a stranger to sub freezing temps and snow. Its a welcome change for sure in Dallas and can be fun while it last. Suppose to be near 60 on Sunday , all this will melt away like says in Susie the snowflake song from years ago..
