Find someone who has a discarded beam antenna that used a 2 inch diameter boom.
I assume you really want a swage mast not a crimped mast.

I don't know the size of your antenna or length of the extension.
Neither am I an engineer so maybe it don't matter.
If you can use electrical conduit a muffler shop might can swage the end for you if they have the correct dies.
They might even have the 2 inch pipe, it usually also comes in galvanized flavors. Its not an unheard of size.
Edit: An electrical contractor might be another possibility if they have one of those Greenlee hydraulic machines.

What are you trying to do? Your first post sounds like you are trying to extend your mast. But then you talk about a J-pole antenna. Which is it, the mast or the antenna. I hope it is the mast because the piece you describe would be a poor choice for an antenna.

its a few feet tall. i have my fm antenna mounted to it. the pole is not tall enough to clear my roof. I want to extended it a few feet to clear the roof. I want to drop an extension in the top hole of the existing pole instead of replacing the whole thing. The OD of the pole is 2 inches and is probably steel i dont know the material of the pole, it is powder coated so perhaps it is steel.

I found this extension but its galvanized, will it work or not? should i keep searching?

The link you posted should work fine. Galvanized will outlast the powder coat. The only trouble I can see is that your mount may be too weak to add a 5' extension, considering wind load.

Thank you for confirmation. My antenna seems to be mounted on an old directTV mast which has the OD 2"/ ID 1.66" The link i posted is out of stock but I found this one https://www.3starinc.com/satellite_tv_a ... ch_od.html
i may have to cut it to desired length.
