I will be there once again at the ARF table (444). We need more ARF participation. Bring a few Items to sell, sit and man the table for a while. kick in a few bucks towards the table cost... George ( geostop ), Steve ( azenithnut ) and I can't do it all.

I’ll be there in 331-333 with my Gobs Of Knobs. Always looking for new inventory, so if you squirreled a few away, I’m buying! Bring them along.

I should be there looking for rare early battery sets.
I am planning to bring a Zenith Cube cabinet that needs restoring as found in Alan Douglas attic, a Zenith 808 that looks unmolested but needs restoration , a very nice Cutting and Washington 11C and a few other items. Maybe some horn speakers as well. Possibly an Atwater Kent lamp. I plan to bring a pile of books I got from Alan's late lamented library.
I'll be in the second pavilion but I don't know just where yet.
I wear my USS FDR hat and I am kind of an old codger.
Anyone interested in 100 mint issues of "Tracker" the high quality magazine of the Organ Historical Society? I can bring them if any of you are interested. These came from Alan also and they must go. Looking for "The Radio Dealer " magazine. Cleartone etc.
Merrill
more... I will also be bringing a pile of books from Alan's library at reasonable prices - many are like new.

I was there a couple of weeks ago, and didn’t see a single one.

Oh my, it is interesting that you feel confident that there will be enough buyers. It seems like a wonderful event, and good luck! Perhaps Rima and I will be able to attend next year.

I am very pleased to see the contest in place to keep vendors there until at least 1PM on Saturday. I am lucky to live only 1 1/2 hours away, but always feel terrible for those coming from a distance on Saturday only to see most packed up and gone by 10-11AM. Great idea!

Don't mistake confidence for blatant self punishment...
I bring 150 and take home about half. You never know what someone is going to want so I bring a large variety. Plus 1/4 of the van is usually sold before Kutztown. I just bring it to deliver it to the new owner.

That makes me mad honestly. People come to shop for radios and vendors are gone Friday night or Saturday morning. People have Friday jobs so Saturday is the only day for them. I am there until at least 12:00 and then packing slowly for another hour or so. Whats even worse is the Thursday thieves. They just run around buying up deals and putting them on their tables for 5x the price on Friday. I refuse to sell to anyone before I am ready and set up on Friday morning.

:)

I see it as three different days and three different customers.

Thursday - if another vendor thinks they can get more for it, more power to them. I'll accept their money.
I've bought things there for $10 and sold it 20 minutes later for $50.
I've also bought for my collection, put what I think is a high price on it figuring I would take it home and wound up selling it.

Friday - The collectors and flippers

Saturday - The Flea Market people. Weird stuff sells that wouldn't be looked at on the other days.

My goal is always to have fun, cover my costs, and take home less than I came with.
I always to have fun, usually cover my costs, and sometimes take home less than I came with.

That's the spirit. 8)

I've made a few dollars on things but have also practically given away stuff to people who I think really will appreciate the item. I admire the people who are true collectors and real restorers. If you're in this to unload a truck and make a buck..I think there are much easier, better and profitable ways to do that.

Hell yeah,
I bring a van and bust my ass loading and unloading. It costs me $600.00 off the bat and it is extremely tiring. I probably give away 1/4 of the crap or donate it to the Philcophorum. All that for a few hundred bucks that I spend there anyway lol... I hope to be able to go as a buyer only when this collection is sold off.

What would be a nice option is if they just had an area dedicated to trading with no cash involved. So before the meet someone posts a list of things that they are looking for and a list of things that they are willing to trade. That way you don't keep accumulating stuff. You can do that with parts or even radios. Kind of like a true swap going on. I mean sure - it is easier with cash but I think that concept has some merit to it. I mean you don't even have to worry about sales tax implications depending on the state.
