Claremont is having their swapmeet the same weekend. I'm going to go to the TRW swapmeet the following saturday (8/28). Hoping to get a few good deals on old test equipment.

I will be bringing an Eico 666 tube tester. Is there anything else that you are seeking?

I could use another benchtop frequency counter - an older high accuracy one. Also looking for a small o-scope to turn into a dedicated curve tracer. My dream would be a working 8657B signal generator for less than $250. A desktop rotary phone, a straight key, some variable caps. Older HP tube based test equipment. As you can see, a mish mash of stuff.

Rain, so the freeways will be slick (no rain for many weeks), and I doubt many will try to attend an outdoor event.
SCARS always tried to spread events around the large southern California geography, but most all other clubs are successful holding events in the same place. Most are also indoors.

We up here in Ventura too. Annoyingly small amount though - the cars are a mess now.

It looks like quite a few attended, despite mist drizzle much of the day.

I went to the TRW swapmeet this past Saturday in Redondo Beach. My estimate is the place was 25% full of vendors, and half were selling ham radio gear. A few antique broadcast receivers, quite a few boat anchors. I picked up a pro-2006 scanner, excellent shape, a 220Mhz yagi, and some tubes. There was one guy that had an 8657A SG, but I passed on it.

I went to the TRW swapmeet again yesterday. Less sellers this time, but more buyers. I picked up a handheld frequency counter and a Bearcat BC125AT scanner, both work fine though I don't know what Uniden was thinking when they didn't include the 220Mhz ham band on this scanner.
