Strange coincidence, I just won an auction
for a Philco "Special Services" radio with the "tropical band"!

But the band in this case is...

THE TUBES!

Um, Fred Waring and his Pennsylvanians?

First live act I saw. Second was Henry Mancini.

Favorite radio band is the BCB.

Favorite musical band, hell, that's easy; Duane Eddy and the Rebels;

Johnny Winter, Buddy Miles and some left-handed cat on the bass.

Actually that's just a jam, and there's some doubt about the picture not matching the audio.
This band has always been a band with a band leader extraordinaire - Santana!

the 60 and 90 meter tropical bands

there were so many exotic domestic short wave radio stations to hear from Africa and Southeast Asia back in the day.

Excellent album, I bought the LP when it was new, it broke my heart when Bon Scott passed away. Rock N Roll Damnation!
