Just acquired this 1950 Columbia green label Masterworks 2 LP boxed set of Benny Goodman's 1938 Carnegie Hall concert. It's the first recordings of this concert and the first double album. The records are both EX.

The last record I purchased was "Polka dot and moon beams" written in 1940.

Great song.

Nice work on the silver and red colors, I'm going to try that on my next EY-2!

We spent Christmas just outside of Phoenix visiting Daughter and family. Went to an antique mall and while shuffling through some 45's found a recording of Party Doll (1957) on Roulette label by my cousin Buddy Knox.

Band on the Run - McCartney and Wings
Les Paul and Mary Ford Greatest Hits
A compilation of Country Gospel Songs
and a U2 EP - Wide Awake in America - will probably go to one of my sons as they're hardcore U2 fans.

I found this 1957 Sarah Vaughn LP at an antiques mall last weekend. All I can say is, wow! I have several of her early albums but this one is the best by far. What a voice!

and for the whipped cream on top I also found this 1960 Julie London LP. Both records are near mint and sound great.

At our OVRA meeting... an RCA 1958 two-record boxed set, Cavelleria Rusticana, Metropolitan Opera... plus two other classical LP's, one the Eroica symphony and the other the Trout quintet.
Cost... free, i.e. just my time! All slightly crackly, but listenable!
Thanks, George.
Cheers,
Roger
