I keep hearing new music that I like (when i suspect that eventually my taste and what sells will eventually leave me a codger hating anything made after 20XX) and I don't have an issue that its made by someone half or more my age at all. I don't go to bars or clubs but I do listen to the pop and modern rock stations local to me. Can't stand 50s, 60s, or 70s music, love 80s thru today and 40s music, as well as most jazz and classical. I even like this one, campy as it is.

Yes, I too like that Selena Gomez song!

There must be a reason I keep going out to buy the "Now, Thats What I Call Music" CD series every 3 months when they release them :D

#68 should be on the shelves in a couple days.

Wow, I'm surprised. After reading through all pages of posts, I'm the only "metalhead". I grew up on the heavy metal bands when I bought my first FM stereo radio in 1970. At 61 years old I still love the high energy in your face guitars. Somewhere in the 80's I got into the melodic metal instrumental releases from the so-called Guitar Gods. I don't care for any of the Grunge rock of the 90's that made it big on the radio or the growling singers that sound like they are gargling with razor blades. :? I still buy new releases but more along the lines stuff like in the YT link. Progressive rock is the generic term. I still listen to the metal bands from the 70's to present but not quite as much as I used to. This band does many songs from 8-15 minutes and take a while to build. I love the complicated beats, tight technical skills.

Nope, you're not the only metalhead. Want some fun? Try some Leo Moracchioli, especially covers of bands like Slipknot, etc.

As for: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qRFcLHo58eQ
Kinda reminds me of Deep Purple. With a little bit of Yes, Emerson Lake & Palmer, and Rush mixed in.

Gotta love it!
