In my opinion he was the most talented singer and songwriter of my generation.

Nice tribute to a man who brought joy to millions with his music and quirky lyrics and voice. He will be missed.

Very sorry to hear of his passing. I've been listening to one of his post-cancer live albums this afternoon.

Angel from Montgomery has been replayed via Bonnie and via Austin City Limits with Mr. Prine a number of time.
Hearing him sing it makes me realize it's a "broken down dam" vs a "broken down van", make much more sense.
All this and heard Same Stone again from when he was young, via his obituaries in the newspapers.
He'll be living on around here for some time.
RIP.

My wife planted two Peach trees in the back yard today in remembrance of him.
