I met my match on this one. Not knowing anything about MIDI, I have this to play with.
What do I need to get sound out of this?
What do I have to use as a signal source/input, and how do I get an analog output to feed to an amplifier?
Can I download a Midi file to my computer and use the computer as an input? Would I need a cable.. maybe usb to standard MIDI connector?
I’m a seasoned radio, television, analog audio guy with associated test equipment but digital music is new to me.
Any basic roadmap help would be helpful.

You need a keyboard with a midi out. Doesn't have to be an expensive one either. A $15.00 working Casio from a thrift shop will do. You will need a midi cable (5 pin DIN I think). MIDI out from the keyboard to the MIDI in on the Dr. Synth. Then a guitar cable from one of the jacks on the back to an amp. There's a lot of cool sounds on that thing. Got mine back in the 80's. Download owners manual here https://www.roland.com/us/support/manual_archive/
