sad.

https://www.cbsnews.com/news/eddie-mone ... al-cancer/

one of my favorite rockers who *always* had a good song on the radio in the 70s and 80s.

Great artist - I remember him being "discovered" after his 80s MTV videos gained traction, despite his already deep discography.

Smoking got him. I've had two relatives and a junior sailor die of esophageal cancer - all were pack-a-day or more smokers. One of the two relatives had already lost their bladder to cancer, again because of smoking.

I remember my older brother bringing home Eddie's first album in 1977. He had 2 huge hits on it.

those two songs must have been "baby hold on" and "two tickets to paradise" from 1978. i was in second grade and really liked those songs too.

i still pound this song into 8 Realistic Mach Ones (original series) with a few 150 watt amplifiers.

it blows your head back over your back and when it is over, you wonder what the heck happened.

it is simply amazing.

too bad this hit did not go higher on the charts. it was one of his best, right up there with all the others.

Yes, that is sad. He's not old by today's standards.
It's not an easy life style, that's for sure.

Unfortunately the music industry has evolved to where touring and live shows is the only way to make the money.

HE was touring with Rick Springfield and Greg Kihn. I was seeing the ads for the Sept 7 show near Dayton. I just checked and Patty Smyth has taken his slot in that show.

When I bought my first CD player he was the first artist I heard on cd. Also saw him once in Atlantic City in concert. He was great, and I've always been a fan. A very sincere R.I.P. Eddie Money.
