Did you know that Little Richard's record company ripped him off BIG TIME. In 1955 he signed up for royalties of 1/2 cent per record. He only ended up with $25,000 years later. He was so bitter, that is the reason that he left the industry. Only reluctantly coming back years later because he was next to broke. Tony

And I thought Tutti Fruity was a song about candy or Ice cream...Still a great song, even it it its meaning was about something else.

This was not uncommon practice in the fifties, for (less sophisticated in business) artists and vocal groups to be taken advantage of. It stank, but was part of the times, and unfortunately didn't come out in the open until years later.
