Bought an old Seeburg Library unit today at a vinyl swap meet. A heavy thing, takes 2 to carry it. It had about 40 or so records loaded in it, which I didn't know till I got it home. Several of the records are labeled Seeburg Background Music Library. With 6 songs per 7" record. But what is odd, is there is no band between selections, so it would be impossible to play inner songs manually. Oh, and the records have NOT FOR SALE on the label!

They aren't intended to be played individually. The cue is "background music" like you used to hear in stores. They probably aren't the familiar renditions of the songs and may have been "homogenized" to suit the intended purpose.

Check and see if they are also 33 RPM.
Several runs of LARGE 45 HOLE 33 RPM records were pressed
because a few of those instead of having a finger to tell between
33 and 45 just had certain SLOTS designated as 33 - so if you
put a record in one of those half a dozen slots in the end it would
play 33 RPM whether the record was small hole or large hole.

I've seen a Rowe restaurant unit like that once or twice and have
a few of the 7 inch 33 RPM large hole Rowe Customusic discs not
to be confused with the nine inch 16 RPM with 2 inch hole versions.

The ones I have are all 45 rpm with the large hole. The unit I have is a 200 play unit, 100 records, and it happened to have about 25 or 30 records in it when I got it home! Except for 2 or 3 records, never heard of any of the songs!
