They let me QC stuff like this in the 90's. What in Curtis LeMay's holy name were they thinking? :lol:

My Dad worked on that program at Lockheed, as well as the follow-up program, Hexagon. The audacity to send 70mm film cameras (with up to 16,000 ft. of film) into space, with only timers and stepping relays to control the shutters, and then spool up the film into a re-entry bucket to be snagged in the air by a plane trailing a hook...amazing!

The engineers of those days were a unique breed of cat.

Slide rules... you have to wonder what these guys would have come up with given the tools of today!
