I'm a Jazz Fan, & came across some fascinating sounds in the soundtrack for a Movie entitled "Broken Flowers" - I was so intrigued I did some research on found the CD on line to sample - its title: "ETIOPIQUES #4" from 1964. The interesting thing is the fine quality of the recording, & that the instruments are played DIFFERENTLY than in the west, + they slip into a minor key in thrilling ways - with a middle eastern flavor. I use the CD in the car I run errands in, & have played it continually for over a year without getting bored - great to listen & just let imagination roam in traffic.
