Do you mean the dial light ? If so on most Zeniths if you pull off
the 2 knobs you can change it. Usually a #159 or #259 bulb surrounded
by a black sleeve. They dont screw in but pull straight out.

If you mean you cant receive VHF ( 2-13) channels its usually a dead
osc in the VHF tuner. The UHF only uses the RF amp & mixer for
UHF so probably they are OK. If its a tube tuner try the mixer/osc tube,
6GJ7 IIRC first.

If you post again please give the chassis number. Its usually on a tag
on the HV box.

Agree, try the 6GJ7 first. If it's not that, then you'll need to remove the tuner and visually inspect it.

First thanks for follow up for chassis number !
You can pull the mix/osc first & spray cleaner in the socket & try that.
If the problem happened over night order a NOS brand name tube.
Ignore tube testers, they dont run tubes at "frequency" so can often lie !

If it were gradual the tuner could be VERY dirty but shaking the selector knob
should make it come & go.

good luck

It could also be a dead RF amplifier tube, probably a 6HA5.
