I'm looking for any pictures of an early 60s Zenith b&w portable tv. The screen was pretty big and I believe it was vhf channels only. It was a tube model, and was a two tone aqua/white. There was a handle on top. This pic is the closest to it from what I remember. No luck on the internet, maybe someone remembers working on a similar one. It was a happy part of my childhood. I think the knobs were on the bottom in the front for contrast, brightness, etc. Thanks!

How about something like this from 1961 (after 1964 or 65 I think they all had UHF)...

Thanks for your response Curtis. That's not the model but I think it was a 19" tube. I actually remember the knobs used, and if I find a picture I'll post it.

Was the cabinet plastic, or metal? I don't recall any 19" early 60's VHF only models that had a plastic cabinet. Nearly all 19" Zeniths had the secondary controls for brightness, contrast, vertical hold on the right side close to the bottom.

It was a plastic cabinet. If I can find a pic of the knobs I'll post, but no luck so far. The colors were similar to these. Don't know the exact screen size but seemed big for a portable. I think it was early 60s.

Maybe one of the suitcase? style. They had a plastic case and some were before UHF.

I've been trying to find a pic of Zenith's tv lineup for 1960,61 etc but no luck.
