It may be in SAM's TSM 47. A scan of the solder side of the PCB would also be helpful. Any assistance appreciated.

I can get it in about two days if no one else has it sooner.

Thx, Wiscojim. Unfortunately that isn't the one, but the model designation, "7 Tr" was all I had to go by. Here's what it looks like (tiny critter it is);

Richard,

According to RM, this radio is the same as Standard SR-G430 "Micronic Ruby". If that's the case, its service info is in TSM-34. Alternatively the service data could be downloaded at RM.

EDIT:
Not of a very good quality but a copy of the service info is found here:
https://elektrotanya.com/standard_micronic_ruby_sr-g_430_sch.pdf/download.html

Thx guys, I do appreciate your efforts! Unfortunately, RM is not always accurate, and their cross reference of this being the same as the Standard Micronic Ruby is not correct.

The trace side of the PCB from the Dropbox file on the Standard is different, as is the board shape, from mine.

My dilemma is that in recapping, I messed up one or two traces and apparently miswired at least one lead, so I need to see the actual PCB trace side.

Here is a picture of the PCB trace side of a 7TR found on the web - scaled up and enhanced. Hope you can use it to locate the miswiring.

Thank you Binh! My screw up was between the VC & tuner, so hopefully that'll help me figure it out.

Hey Greg, that just might put me over, thx!

Edit; well, not quite. One of the landings I messed up is right underneath where some of the wiring is. I'm gonna need a schematic of it, if anyone happens to have one.

I shoulda took a pic of the trace side of the PCB before I started to recap, but never thought I woulda had so much trouble locating the last Electrolytic's two solder landings, and in heating several up, managed to dislocate solder and component leads.

Hi Richard,

Found a picture of another chassis with slightly better quality. It belongs to an M7 or Micro Seven (often misspelled as Micro Leven because of the cursive letters). It looks to be the same chassis with some mods. Hope you have better luck with this one.

There is one similar on Ebay that has been listed for about a year. Maybe ask the seller for a picture of the chassis?

OK, this last scan did the trick, and I now have operation the way it was before I messed up, being an audio rushing sound using an amplifier at the speaker leads.

The osc is not working, nor did it before, using the second radio test.

The circuit uses a 2SA52 for the converter and one IF amp, and a 2SA49 for the other IF amp.

Using a 3 volt supply, I can only get 2.5 volts on one element of the converter and the 2SA49 IF. The other two elements of each show less than a tenth of a volt.

The 2SA52 IF Transistor however, shows 2.5, .5, & .4, which I assume is normal. With no print though, I'm not sure how to proceed. I kinda doubt that both or even one of the Transistors failed. This is not the easiest PCB to do parts swapping. Any ideas?

I'd float(unsolder) the base of the osc and check forward & reverse bias resistance between B&E and B&C. Also resistance of C to E.

In going by one of the above scans of the PCB wiring, I noticed a lead from the left end of the antenna coil going to a particular trace, which was missing on mine. I located the left end of the coil, which wasn't connected to anything, and connected it. I also noticed that of the two leads on the right side of the antenna coil, one wasn't connected on my set the way it was on the scan, so I moved it. I now have what seem to be three correct voltages on the converter, but none now on the IF Transistor. Operation remains the same, an audio rushing sound somewhat audible from the set's speaker.

I really need a schematic and PCB diagram for this. The one at RMORG only shows a skeleton diagram, and that just of the audio section. I'd almost be willing to *gasp* pay for one, if I knew where to find it.

Greg, if you look at my previous posts, you can see that the front bezel of mine is different than the one you're displaying. That said, they are both 7 Transistor micro size, and appear to have the same PCB. Would you have a source for that schematic?
