Enroute from epay.

Looks like the 1963 version, compass ring but no bar rotatable antenna on top.

Working condition, cosmetically excellent.

Can't get details, it seems radiomuseum's server is not responding, but I think it said there is a factory BFO add on for this set.

Tuned RF, looks like a.m., s.w. and l.w. with controls for direction finding.

I made the seller an offer he couldn't refuse (paid too much), but I couldn't let this one get away.

Any thoughts or info appreciated.

- Tim

Those 790YK Navigators are said to be super sensitive. Shoot me an e-mail address (I can't remember if I have it) via PM (private message) and I will send you the six-page service manual, tomorrow!

Have you won the Loto... :)
Greg.

oh... the Azimuth Scale on top rotates for a quick, relative bearing of station from boat or plane.

The... Beat Frequency Oscillator kit was an optional extra, permitting reception of amateur code (CW), also Consolan and Consol bearings. Zenith S-53472 kit.

I will post the (two-page) dealer brochure later.

Who the heck is Tim?

Should be an excellent radio ! Have the 780 & 97 and they're both great receivers...

Looking forward to hearing about yours when it arrives !

Think Ed Morris may have one ?

That is just awesome!
Thanks so much!
When I worked at Bliley, I got to sit in Dawson's 1930's wooden office swivel chair. The wooden armrest had holes drilled in it for his key, he would often talk on the air from his office!
