Tuner spins like silk all the way across the band!

I read somewhere (probably here) that this is a rebadged Panasonic RF-2900, but that G.E. made some improvements.

First impressions - the sensitivity on this radio is amazing. On a.m. and f.m.. I notice when I tune in a frequency on the digital display, on wide filter, there is plenty of room to fine tune.

Sound - while not blow you out of the chair like my T.O. Royal 7000, the sound is very nice and pleasant to listen to. Kind of typical for 80's radios I've owned.

I had a scare when changing bands and the digital frequency display seemed to go bonkers and started scrolling on it's own into 6 digit numbers, but after some fiddling, it seems to be operating normally now. I realize there are allowances to be made with a set of this age and construction.

I think I lucked out on this set. Gonna have some fun with this!

Radio on! :D
