Look for date codes on the tubes and components, then look through issues of QST, 73, and CQ around the same time, or a year or two earlier. Some of the hams did, and still do, make some very nice homebrew equipment.

Thanks for looking Bruce. I have a few ‘homebrew tube rig’ buffs looking also. Most of the tubes are 12v which leads me to believe it had use as a mobile rig also. The power supply leads are marked 250v and 12vac. I think I’ll heed the advice and power it up slowly.
