No .... it has nothing to do with luck ... nothing at all. If you stop to examine the circuitry required to actually kill you, it's not normally there, where you work. Stop and think about it and you'll realise how silly it is. Electricity is not a gamble. it's a science and there are a set of conditions that have to be met for you to die by it. Those conditions are not usually met at a workbench or on a display counter, or in an average house.

Don't just react ... think about it ...

For me it is luck as I pretty much knew nothing about electronics other than what I was learning on my own.

Perhaps being killed was not the right choice of words but knowing what I do now that's what I relate it to.
