I have a badly hacked Meissner three tube RX with a plug-in coil. I'm told that is is covered in a Meissner "How to Build" manual but no one has told me which version of manual or what pages to ask for.
This uses three Type 76 triodes and has a resistor line cord...

Anyone know the cord resistance ? I'm guessing 300 Ohm would be about right..... My cord looks near mint but is open circuit.

Thanks,
Robert

Hi

I have that Meissner "How to build" manual.

Unfortunately, I don't have a scanner.

The resistance of the cord is 340 ohms.

Hope that helps.

Greg,

I had completely forgotten about my 2016 thread.... Unfortunately any data I collected then is on a corrupted backup hard drive.
The Ohio U. link to a .pdf do not work any more.

ed857,

A cell phone pix grab might be good enough. My $80 Samsung Orbit J3 phone does a good job of capturing a letter size page.
You could PM me with it by sending it to my e-mail address if you can...

I don't have a cell phone either.

Yeah, I know. I'm behind the times.

I'll see if I can get it scanned at the library tomorrow.

Bingo,

Thanks very much! Interesting to know that the (presumed) original illustration shows dog bone resistors... The resistors in my example are smooth-cylinder axial lead types but they don't have the modern three color band scheme... Now I need to see if I can find out when the modern color banding scheme was introduced...

Higher resolution would be appreciated so I can include it when I put it on exhibit... kd4hsh@carolina.rr.com
