 Post subject: any one fix a Hegehog interstage transformer

Have a dead one, and was thinking of using an ARBE transformer with the original wire core. I saw Ron Soyland's video of his rewinding the coil which was a failure,and he said it took hours to straighten the wire,and put the wire around his repaired coil.

Any idea why the repair process "failed"? Seems pretty straightforward, apart from being tedious.

He did not say, but maybe it was the primary winding, since he just did the secondary
