Hi all,
Been a long while since I was here and again I need some advice. Picked up the above radio at the Dayton Hamvention and while it works and I'll do the alignment and check over on the electronics, I noted the face has some what looks like rust pitting. See attached pic. More later A few questions; 1. Best way to remove the brown (rust?) spot? Those on the lettering? 2. If I need to sandblast it, clean and repaint, where or how to redo the lettering? 3. Is this gray a known color I can get made or should I just take a photo to Lowes? 4. Lastly on the chassis itself it is pitted and some other issued. Best way to clean and polish? Remove the tubes and check, tape up the sockets and use steel wool? The underside is in real good shape.
Thanks for your help and hints!!
