Hope the photo loads. This radio is in great shape and works good. Just the ratty looking dial cloth(screen).

Agree about finding cloth that is really suitable for old radio use. Always try to get a sample patch and if they wont send one walk away.

Buy from a "reputable antique radio restoration company" was mentioned but this doesn't always work out. Bought a large piece from a US "well known company" and it would make a good chair bottom. Paid postage to the UK at an exorbitant rate to rub salt in the wounds.

If a cloth is not really open weave on some Philips radios it will actually flap which looks really awful.

I ended up scrubbing the grill with Brasso, it cleaned it up a bit but it took a very long time to get the dried up Brasso out of the screen. I had placed paper between the screen and the cloth so that the cloth would not become contaminated.

It looks better but not fantastic.
